Education: International Winter School 2012

The Winter School is part of new territories, produced by New Moves International.

New Territories invites artists working in live art and related arts practice to take part in a Winter School, a series of professional skills development projects. These opportunities are open to both emergent and experienced practitioners, to independent artists and students in tertiary education.

You will receive a response from New Territories within a short period of them receiving your application. The mentors will be sent a copy of your application and will make the final decision on selection of the participants. We have included the website addresses of the mentors where possible to enable applicants to do some advance research.

If you are accepted on a course full payment must made be made within 7 days, this will secure your place. Payment is non-refundable. Cheques are payable to New Moves International Ltd. and should be sent to P.O. Box 16870, Glasgow G11 9DS.

Winter School attendees from outside of Glasgow are responsible for making their own travel arrangements and finding accommodation. We will send you an information sheet with some useful contacts with our initial acceptance letter.

New Territories endeavours to keep these courses affordable for artists and Creative Scotland supports artists’ professional development as part of its Talent Development Investment programme which you may wish to investigate for support, http://www.creativescotland.com/investment/investment-programmes/talent-development

Creative Scotland’s criteria are tighter than before, with stronger emphasis on an artist’s track record and developing practice.
