Opportunities: Sibiu International Theatre Festival 2013 (Romania)

Sibiu International Theatre Festival is a performing arts festival held annually in Transylvania, Romania. In terms of audience numbers it’s the third largest theatre festival in the world. The 20th edition takes place 7– 16 June 2013.

If you have a proposal or you want to submit materials for the Festival then send an email to: management@sibfest.ro
For the selection process the Festival needs recordings of full length performances on DVD/CD (or video link). These recordings need to be submitted, ideally,  by 1 November 2012. Information on the financial, logistics and technical conditions is expected by email and post (together with the DVD). Official invitations are sent out in mid-January.

I know this festival well, having attended and participated on many occasions, and I can recommend it fully. There’s no overt agenda to the selection process, other than quality, and innovative work is programmed alongside mainstream material in very interesting ways.
