Video Contest

Good Performance documentation is an art form.


This week until Friday May 13, 2011 we are running a contest for the network member with the top performance documentation video. The member with the video that has the most Facebook likes by Friday 13, 2011 wins:

* a free Contemporary Performance Tote Bag

* the video will be featured on the main page for a week.

Here is how to enter.

1. Upload or choose one of your videos on the network (pick a good one!) and either add “videocontest01” to the tags in your video or email editor@0ce.144.myftpupload.com (or message Caden Manson on the network) the URL of the video.

2. Invite your Facebook friends to view it on your network profile and then click on the facebook like button below the video.

3. The contest starts now and will end at Midnight EST on Friday May 13, 2011

4. The Network Member with the most Facebook likes on their network video page by Friday May 13, 2011 at Midnight EST Wins!

Caden Manson is a director, media artist, and teacher. He is co-founder of the media ensemble bigartgroup.com and network, blog, and publisher, contemporaryperformance.com. He has co-created, directed, video- and set designed 18 Big Art Group productions. Manson has shown video installations in Austria, Germany, NYC, and Portland; performed PAIN KILLER in Berlin, Singapore and Vietnam; Taught in Berlin, Rome, Paris, Montreal, NYC, and Bern; the ensemble has been co-produced by the Vienna Festival, Festival d’Automne a Paris, Hebbel Am Ufer, Rome’s La Vie de Festival, PS122, and Wexner Center for The Arts. Caden is a 2001 Foundation For Contemporary Art Fellow, is a 2002 Pew Fellow and a 2011 MacDowell Fellow. Writing has been published in PAJ, Theater Magazine, and Theater der Zeit. Caden is currently an associate professor and graduate directing option coordinator of The John Wells Directing Program at Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Drama.
