Contemporary Performance Update – October 24, 2011

Welcome to this week’s network update. We hope all your projects are going well. A few new updates to our network and blog. This week we reached 2689 members on the network and 6334 Facebook page! We’ve started our Member Spotlight section again and this weeks Member Spotlight is Shiyuan liu (Brooklyn, NY). One of her images is featured in the header above and on the network. She is doing some fantastic work photographing performing artists and is looking for more collaborators to participate in her project. Also this week we will post a new section of how to videos for navigating and building a great presence on the site. We are also currently developing an online workshop on “How To Tour” that will include sections on approaching presenters, writing introductory letters, what to say when you meet a presenter, structuring your website for touring, and making budgets, tech riders, and contract.

Below are some links to top content and latest additions to the blog. Let us know what are working on and see you on the network. Don’t forget to invite your friends and collaborators.

Cheers,
Caden Manson (Network Curator)
