A Collaboration between The Present Tense and Joseph Ravens of Defibrillator Gallery

In 2007, The Present Tense, a Boston-based live art initiative joined forces with Chicago area Artist and Curator, Joseph Ravens. We organized an exchange between performance artists that were working in both cities at the time. This collaboration was a successful one. So successful in fact, we have decided to organize another exchange that will happen in September. Joseph has selected artists from Chicago who will travel to share their work in a live public event in Boston.

These artists include:

MEREDITH AND ANNA

MOTHERGIRL

 ELENA KATSULIS & ERIN PEISERT

CLAIRE ASHLEY

ADAM ROSE

 JOSEPH RAVENS

The Present Tense has selected 6 artists to represent Boston in a live event at Joseph’s Gallery, Defibrillator in Chicago. These Artists include:

JEFF HUCKLEBERRY

DANIEL S. DELUCA

SANDY HUCKLEBERRY

MARILYN ARSEM

PHILIP FRYER

SANDRINE SCHAEFER

In addition to these live events. The Present Tense will produce a series of video interviews that will be hosted on their web archive: ThePresentTense.org.      This will bring this exchange to a larger audience.
