In Performance: Continuum Live Art Series, AvantGarden (Houston, TX, USA) NSFW

Continuum Live Art Series will take place at AvantGarden from November 2012 to April 2013. The series will include evenings of performance events and evenings of workshops. The first workshop will be Sunday, November 5 at 8pm. The opening night of performances will be on Friday, November 30 beginning at 7:30pm. This is Continuum’s first artist residency.

For the November 30 opening night event, there will be performances by Black Magic Marker, Koomah, Jonatan Lopez , Chus Martinez, Evan McCarley, Tina McPherson, Jessica Mendez, Zubi Puente, Raindawg, Hilary Scullane, Militia “Malice” Tiamat, Y.E. Torres, Unna Bettie, Julia Wallace, Jana Whatley and more.

Through the Continuum Live Art Series, the group plans to continue their goal of encouraging local emerging performance artists by providing the opportunity to experiment and expand their body of work through workshops and performance opportunities. Workshops will focus on helping participants sharpen their ideas through fun performance exercises and encouragement provided by Continuum members.

Continuum Live Art Series will take place the last weekend of each month with workshops held on Sunday evenings at AvantGarden’s upstairs gallery two weeks prior to each Live Art Event.
