Spotlighting both emerging and established performing artists with their up-to-10-minutes pieces, LUCKY TRIMMER represents a broad vision of what contemporary dance is today, encouraging performance-makers of all kinds to dance, experiment, question, dare…

Submissions are subject to an application fee of 15 €. 

Your application represents a significant contribution towards the realisation of this unique festival and helps ensure that LUCKY TRIMMER remains an influential showcase for the international dance and performance scene. The proceeds from your application fee are used exclusively for the realisation of the LUCKY TRIMMER Tanz Performance Serie. LUCKY TRIMMER does not receive any public funding and is only made possible with support from volunteers, private sponsors and people like you. 

MONEY 

500 € per piece (no coverage of  travel // accommodation)

INFO 

There are 3 shows in total taking place on the September 27th & 28th 2013 with technical rehearsals on the September 26th. 

We only accept pieces that are maximum 10 min. You will only have one hour to tech and space your piece on stage, so keep your lighting and technical wishes simple.

Caden Manson is a director, media artist, and teacher. He is co-founder of the media ensemble bigartgroup.com and network, blog, and publisher, contemporaryperformance.com. He has co-created, directed, video- and set designed 18 Big Art Group productions. Manson has shown video installations in Austria, Germany, NYC, and Portland; performed PAIN KILLER in Berlin, Singapore and Vietnam; Taught in Berlin, Rome, Paris, Montreal, NYC, and Bern; the ensemble has been co-produced by the Vienna Festival, Festival d’Automne a Paris, Hebbel Am Ufer, Rome’s La Vie de Festival, PS122, and Wexner Center for The Arts. Caden is a 2001 Foundation For Contemporary Art Fellow, is a 2002 Pew Fellow and a 2011 MacDowell Fellow. Writing has been published in PAJ, Theater Magazine, and Theater der Zeit. Caden is currently an associate professor and graduate directing option coordinator of The John Wells Directing Program at Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Drama.
