Renegade Performance Group is looking for contemporary dancers/movers well suited with physical movement for a site-specific work commemorating the 150th Anniversary of Civil War events in July 1863.  Rehearsals will be consecutive Fridays – starting June 7th, running through the performance date.  There will be Tuesday rehearsals only in June, starting the 11th – 28th.

This is a paid process and payment details will be given if asked to perform.

We are looking for male and female performers of all backgrounds and ethnicity’s who are eager to explore themes of durational and task-based movement techniques.  The focus of this project is to push the edge of immersive performance by addressing a topic of historical importance.  Performers will be asked to use movement, space, and text in unconventional methods to bring new relevance to the events from one of the most important era’s of the United States: the Civil War.
