Versuchsperson Silke Grabinger 2.0

Silke Grabinger is a dancer and choreographer. She is a woman. She is a former breakdancer and danced at Cirque du Soleil. What are the projections on her person, which issues do choreographers tie her together with and what does she make out of it? That’s what Silke wants to find out by asking internationally renowned choreographers to create 10 minutes performance for her. International choreographers Dave St-Pierre, Astrid Endruweit & Michael Laub, Trajal Harrell and Benoît Lachambre as well as film director Arash T. Riahi are involved in this exciting experiment with the Austrian performer. Each of these artists develops a solo piece for/in collaboration with the outstanding dancer. What’s special about it: none of them know what the others are working on. And in the end, none of them knows, who‘s the tested person: is it Silke as a dancer, is it the choreographer and his/her projection on the dancer or is it the people sitting in the audience? The individual pieces will be joined together only on the evening of the first performance at ImPulsTanz. Further presenters can choose, which acts they want the artist to combine at their performance evening.
This performance is already the second “test run“ of the series VERSUCHSPERSON, the first part premiered successfully at ImPulsTanz 2011. Then, Anne Juren, Oleg Soulimenko, Philippe Riera / Superamas, Irena Curik, Hubert Lepka and Dirk Stermann created their version of a VERSUCHSPERSON SILKE GRABINGER.
