“The Wall” consists of a series of performative works that explore the concepts of division and/or the impact of historical events such as the rise and and fall of the Berlin Wall on our current understanding of topics such as belonging, identity, separation or integration.
In order to broaden the notion of walls to a wider context, beyond the Berlin Wall, this exceptional program will investigate any form of existing, dismantled and/or virtual divisions. The program’s intention is to highlight the political, ideological, emotional, social and cultural consequences engendered by any kind of separation.
For this special series we welcome pieces that focus on any aspect of “The Wall”, with the basic requirement that the pieces are a maximum of 10 minutes long. Please bear in mind that, if selected, you will have only one hour to tech and space your piece on stage, so keep your lighting and technicalrequirement simple.
