A jam packed Friday!!!

Today triage live art collective launch the much anticipated HOTEL OBSCURA project. Take 1 hotel. 4 rooms. 8 artists. 48 hours and see what experimental intimacy will occur. The work invites the Berlin-based performers to enter a unnamed hotel for 48 hours commencing from 18:00 tonight for durational performance-making. External guest curators, provocateurs and audiences are invited to set tasks for the hotel artists. The 48 hours of live performances and interventions will be live-streamed fromwww.hotelobscura.tv/

From 12:00-22:00 we have the start of the three-day platform DIRECT ACTION 2014. A platform dedicated to providing a space for artists working in the field of performance art and welcoming actions that activate the interplay with the world and the saying “going under the radar”.

From 18:00-21:00 we have the performance and exhibition entitled I LOVE GREY from Poul R. Weile and Bea Bendel. Starting with the moving of objects to moving individuals resulting in building and creating new relations. ***LOCATION – NIKODEMUS (Nansenstrasse 12)***

From 20:00-00:00 at the CULTURE CONTAINER (next to the MPA-HUB) we have ONLINE/OFFLINE, a project looking at the self-presentation of artists working within the framework of post-internet art with all its related socio-cultural changes. Featuring Cult Fu-Fu art group: Tomáš Hodboď, Filin Krug, Martina Růžičková, Lumír Nykl, Tina Poliačková, in collaboration with Balz Isler.

Zona Dynamic’s 8th VOYEURS series will continue with a interactive performance by Claudia Kühn. The work titled FINGER is an act of communication – or an attempt at communication – that nobody can completely understand, or completely decipher. Caden Manson is a director, media artist, and teacher. He is co-founder of the media ensemble bigartgroup.com and network, blog, and publisher, contemporaryperformance.com. He has co-created, directed, video- and set designed 18 Big Art Group productions. Manson has shown video installations in Austria, Germany, NYC, and Portland; performed PAIN KILLER in Berlin, Singapore and Vietnam; Taught in Berlin, Rome, Paris, Montreal, NYC, and Bern; the ensemble has been co-produced by the Vienna Festival, Festival d’Automne a Paris, Hebbel Am Ufer, Rome’s La Vie de Festival, PS122, and Wexner Center for The Arts. Caden is a 2001 Foundation For Contemporary Art Fellow, is a 2002 Pew Fellow and a 2011 MacDowell Fellow. Writing has been published in PAJ, Theater Magazine, and Theater der Zeit. Caden is currently an associate professor and graduate directing option coordinator of The John Wells Directing Program at Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Drama.
