◊ MPA-B 2014 | MAY 27 ROUND-UP ◊

From 10:00-16:00 we have the forth performance in the
EROGATE/SURROGATE series. TRUST ME, a piece by Spanish artist Gema Alava, is an on-going attempt to trouble the notion of an ‘autonomous performer’ and of an ‘original performance’ – and its potential re-performance– by exploring ways in which we are infused by, internalize and collaborate (or not collaborate) with others as well as with our environments. (***AT 2 UNDISCLOSED MUSEUMS***)

We are happy to invite you to the finissage of VOYEURS, a series of public interventions that took place inside a closed 2 x 2 x 2m white cube over the course of MPA-B 2014. Presented by Zona Dynamic. Under the title TO BE REMOVED FROM PUBLIC GAZE – ACCIDENTAL AUDIENCES, UNFORSEEN PERFORMANCES, tonights happening is thought as a reaction to the artists’ and curators’ month-long experience with and within the cube. Will specifically look into the tensions created by the act of performing inside an all enclosing space, one that excludes the public from direct contact with the artist; how it is possible to interact with an unseen audience
