Description Of Opportunity:

ACT International Festival for Emerging Performing Artists 19th edition will take place in Bilbao and Barakaldo from 2nd to 5th of November, 2022.

ACT is an annual festival that for the duration of four days brings together around a hundred participants and guests from around the world. The festival has four main sections: the pedagogical program, ACTmosfera encounters, the exhibition shows and the short pieces contest. This last one is open to companies and proposals that want to apply and participate in the festival. 

ACT launches a call for international and emerging performing artists who have scenic works of maximum 30 minutes. The festival is committed to companies that take risks in their proposals and new formats and scenic languages.

ACT´s main goal is to promote and spread the work of new creators to the audience, cultural managers, programmers and the media. For this the festival facilitates spaces for meetings, reflection and debate, besides an exceptional pedagogical program for the participating performers. 

ACT is not only a festival but also a performing arts fair attended by programmers from around the world.

• It’s essential to send a video of the piece. It can be a working progress or a rehearsal, but no a teaser.
• The final pieces must be 30 minutes maximun, without exception.
• Send your application filling the form and make sure you read the general terms of the festival
