♦ MPA-B PROGRAMME: May 20th ♦

Today marks the beginning of a new round of projects by MPA-B Associate Curators PAN Vienna titled PANIK FOR BRUNCH + PANIK OPEN FLOOR running from May 20th to May 26th. The Performance Art Network Vienna (PAN Vienna) has programmed a series of events at L’Atelier – kunst(spiel)raum with the focus of questioning its own structure as a network, as well as the action of networking itself. Each day will be hosted by a different representative of PAN and will start with a brunch, that itself carries and plays with the possibility to network, and which will lead into the afternoon with a series of performances with hosts and guest artists.
Today’s programme:

Mike Hentz today begins his 48hr-long mobile and private performance project KLIMA BERLIN 1, which will see a small group of participants and artists travel by bus to various public and private sites in and outside of Berlin, experiencing and creating a poetic journey and thematic blocks under the overarching theme “The Important Questions”. The journey is about dealing with various issues and trying things out, alternating dynamics with quiescent reflection. It is not about an exercise in peer pressure. The exercises are voluntary, and the only obligation is to merely attend the event from start to finish, and to stick to it. Who leaves the group is eliminated.

PERFORMER STAMMTISCH returns with its traditional Monday performance+discussion series, with a last minute change to today’s programme. For this edition of the Stammtisch, the organisers had invited artists Perpetua Rodriguez and Prem Sarjo from Chile. Unfortunately, both were unable to make it to Berlin. Fortunately, Performer Stammtisch core members Anja Ibsch and Florian Feigl have volunteered to perform tonight. The organisers are looking at different possibilities to have the work of Sarjo and Perpetua present in the space anyhow. The programme starts at 19:00-22:00 (entrance: 3€) at NeuHoch in Wedding.
