◊ MPA-B 2014 | MAY 13 ROUND-UP ◊

In this Lucky 13 of a day, we introduce you three very different projects which will all be hosted at the MPA-HUB at the DingDongDom.

From 13:00 to 19:00 (Free Entrance), Co-Labourer Joel Verwimp will introduce his ALTERNATIVE METHODEN DER VERÖFFENTLICHUNG a presentation (in German) of four functioning models for collecting performance art “in public”: ‘The Maria de Robe Collection’ at the Association for Performance Art Berlin in collaboration with the Allied Museum / ‘Auction Achtung’ at ebay in association with Performer Stammtisch / Some objects perform better than others in association with grüntaler9 / Transnational Art Commons at the Bern Biennale in association with Dampfzentrale.

From 20:00 to 22:00 (Free Entrance) the NGinPA collective (Normative Gaze in Performance Art) will host an open discussion exploring gendered notions of both performance and perception in art, moderated by Melanie Jame Wolf. This new collective which formed last winter, will share with the audience their personal and diverse experiences as female identified performance artists to bring forth new and challenging ideas about the normative gaze directed at women in the performance art scene.

Finally from 22:00 until closing time the Teilnhamerei group will present their “Dodici Action” which will include performances, lectures and actions inspired by Commedia Dell’Arte. (Donations)
