In this Lucky 13 of a day, we introduce you three very different projects which will all be hosted at the MPA-HUB at the DingDongDom.

From 13:00 to 19:00 (Free Entrance), Co-Labourer Joel Verwimp will introduce his ALTERNATIVE METHODEN DER VERÖFFENTLICHUNG a presentation (in German) of four functioning models for collecting performance art “in public”: ‘The Maria de Robe Collection’ at the Association for Performance Art Berlin in collaboration with the Allied Museum / ‘Auction Achtung’ at ebay in association with Performer Stammtisch / Some objects perform better than others in association with grüntaler9 / Transnational Art Commons at the Bern Biennale in association with Dampfzentrale.

From 20:00 to 22:00 (Free Entrance) the NGinPA collective (Normative Gaze in Performance Art) will host an open discussion exploring gendered notions of both performance and perception in art, moderated by Melanie Jame Wolf. This new collective which formed last winter, will share with the audience their personal and diverse experiences as female identified performance artists to bring forth new and challenging ideas about the normative gaze directed at women in the performance art scene.

Finally from 22:00 until closing time the Teilnhamerei group will present their “Dodici Action” which will include performances, lectures and actions inspired by Commedia Dell’Arte. (Donations)

Caden Manson is a director, media artist, and teacher. He is co-founder of the media ensemble bigartgroup.com and network, blog, and publisher, contemporaryperformance.com. He has co-created, directed, video- and set designed 18 Big Art Group productions. Manson has shown video installations in Austria, Germany, NYC, and Portland; performed PAIN KILLER in Berlin, Singapore and Vietnam; Taught in Berlin, Rome, Paris, Montreal, NYC, and Bern; the ensemble has been co-produced by the Vienna Festival, Festival d’Automne a Paris, Hebbel Am Ufer, Rome’s La Vie de Festival, PS122, and Wexner Center for The Arts. Caden is a 2001 Foundation For Contemporary Art Fellow, is a 2002 Pew Fellow and a 2011 MacDowell Fellow. Writing has been published in PAJ, Theater Magazine, and Theater der Zeit. Caden is currently an associate professor and graduate directing option coordinator of The John Wells Directing Program at Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Drama.
