@ Photo property of the Margulies Collection

I went to Miami for a travel related to art, having the opportunity to enjoy museums and collections.
The Margulies Collection at the Warehouse comprises a 45,000 square feet exhibition space that is involved with the art movement in Wynwood, the art district in Miami. The current exhibition shows, among other relevant contemporary art, Michelangelo Pistoletto´s Two Less One.

The piece is set next to a John Chamberlain wall installed work in what is presented as a very carefully thought museography. Two Less One is at the intersection of two walls one of the first floor chambers are installed a video and two mirrors. The video shows the performance Seventeen One Less (2009, Installation & Performance at the 53rd Venice Biennale). In the performance 22 mirrors, in golden and friezed frames, are smashed by the artist with a wooden hammer.

The Margulies Collection at the Warehouse includes contemporary and vintage photography, video, sculpture and installation and is open to visitors from Wednesday to Saturday from 11:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m.
Extended hours during Art Basel and Art Miami

The Warehouse will be closed May through October for re-installation, and will reopen with new exhibitions in the fall 2013. You can also purchase the Catalog of the Margulies Collection, the money is donated to the Lotus House, a shelter for homeless women and children in Miami.
