Today’s programme is PACKED with activities! From workshops, exhibitions and evening concerts to outdoor, indoor and durational performances, the choices are endless. Make the most of it!

Back for the second year in a row with their performance series Agora Thinks Performance Art, the team behind the Agora Collective brings a month-long project exploring the BRIDGES AND NON-BRIDGES OF PERFORMANCE ART AND CONTEMPORARY DANCE which includes a residency programme (starting today), workshops, performances and round tables with LAN Hungh, Hermann Heisig, Thelma Bonavita and many other guests. Make sure to download the full Agora’s programme from the MPA-B website and visit also http://agoracollective.org/.

Berlin city centre will see today three outdoor and site-specific performances and street interventions. Since 09:00am this morning, Paloma Orts Pascual has taken over one of the city’s most renowned squares, Gendarmenmarkt, with her performance project BUBBLE, a reflection of the link that exists between subject (bubble) and context translated to the visual world as an anthropomorphic wood sphere, covered by branches of vine as a metaphor of our natural essence, where she will live in for the rest of the day.

A few blocks away outside another city’s landmark, the Pergamon Museum, Joseph Patricio begins at 13:00 his 1st of three Saturdays durational interventions titled BIG AND BITE SIZE. Joseph will offer free street food to the public and will thematize a different discourse about dimension and which will affect his interaction with the monuments and their publics.

Meanwhile Oranienburger Strasse will turn for the next three weeks into Mariana Delgado’s testing ground for her performance project ARTIST IN EXHIBITION which will culminate with a performance presentation on May 25th. Today instead she will be exploring the area around Kunsthaus Tacheles to draw parallels between the different artistic contexts of her native Brazil and Germany.

The programme continues tonight from 19:00 at L’Atelier-Kunst(spiel)raum with INVISIBLE DRAWINGS: GREY AREA which is a series of collaborative experiments between gestural mark-making and dance improvisation with Natalie Adams (UK) & Christine Cheung (CAN) invite Arianna Rodeghiero (IT) and WOOGURU (KR). L’Atelier will also run a workshop tomorrow on the same subject/thematics.

At 20:00 at the TheaterSpielRaum at Bethanien Vinzenz Fengler and Nadine Rahimtoola present TERRITORY, an evening of performances, video screenings and soundscapes examining the boundaries between spaces. What interests the artists are those boundaries that are fixed, limited and violated.

From 20:00 the Kreuzberg Pavillon crew, come back to MPA-B with another series of performances, tonight with WHY PERFORMING HAS TO BE NAKED with Tijana Titin, Boris Duhm, Clemence Lacheny who will create a field of total bodyperformance inside the Kreuzberg Pavillon that temporarily turns the exhibition space into one big accessible pinhole camera.
