♦ MPA-B PROGRAMME: May 13th ♦

We are ready for another day of performance art.

If you happen to catch the Ring Bahn S41 today, make sure to bring your knitting gear, board the second wagon from the front and join Adi Liraz’s RING KNITTING CIRCLE which will see commuters’, participants, and hard-core knitters creating together a new (and colourful) meaning to the otherwise grim commuting lifestyle. Starting today at 11:02 at Schönhauser Allee and continuing to Ostkeuz (11:14), Hermann Straße (11:23), Sudkreuz (11:29), Westhafen (11:54) and Wedding (12:00), Ring Knitting Circle will be going for two rounds (11:00-13:00).

Tired of knitting? Then move on to (performance/ART) 003: THE CHRONIC FATIGUE SYNDROME AFTERPARTY by La Mission who will unabashedly present the slovenly afterbirth of their decadent Utopian pursuits for your voyeuristic pleasure. Founded on situationist art, anarcho-syndicalist politics, music, and delivery food, this 12 hour-long performance piece explores the mid-19th American Colonial tradition/art of “Bundling”: the traditional practice of wrapping one person in a bed accompanied by another. This performance will be open-door: enter at your own risk, come as you wish, and depart as you may. Starting at 10:00-22:00 (suggested donations 5-15€) at Let Them Eat Cake – Vintage Shop & Project Space.

Alternatively you can catch the closing day of YOU ARE A BIG BOY NOW (OR RAUSCHENGERG IST TÖDLICH), by our Brooklyn friends Panoply Performance Lab and guests who, for the past 3 days, have been dishing up edible and inedible options chosen by visitors from a menu featuring food, objects, and time-‐based items. Camilla Graff Junior returns to the MPA-B table with another project from her series Crossing Context, Neukölln, which for the past two weeks has seen a series of works by artists and activists from Denmark and France, turn the borough of Neukölln into a testing ground for different performance art practices and explorations. Tonight is Boris Azemar’s A GOLEM, A CLOWN, A RECLUSE, a performance-essay which will attempt to find new identifications for a being questioning his male biological gender. These questions imply constitutive desires for pregnancy, seclusion, and continuously shifting conflict with social norms. The audience is given a list of about sixty performative works to be selected from and A GOLEM, A CLOWN, A RECLUSE are three amongst these. At kunstraum t27 from 19:30.
