Description Of Opportunity:
CALL FOR ENTRIES AND PROPOSALS!!!
Temporal and Corporeal: A Broad Scope of Performance Art is thrilled to announce that 4 amazing performance artists will be invited to join them to perform live during the opening week of “Temporal and Corporeal: A Broad Scope of Performance Art” at Ohio University Art Gallery, January 23 – February 17, 2018: Yana Evans, Kris Grey, Danielle Abrams, and Vanessa German.
They are accepting performance works in any medium. There are a number of options for submitted work. These can be live performances, documentation of previously performed work in photography or video, performance scores, remnants and/or artifacts from performances, and they are excited to announce that they have a large number of scheduled Skype performances that will be listed for audience members to tune in and view throughout the entire month. They will also consider carefully designed proposals for inclusion. All work must be original and submitted by the author. For performances considered to be performed ‘live’ for the exhibition, artists are responsible for their travel to and from the gallery. There may be a small honorarium that can be allotted, but will be determined after the deadline of submissions.
The jurors for this exhibition are Jennie Klein, Courtney Kessel and Kessel’s Ohio University page and Ohio University Graduate Students: Dylan Berry, Maddie Hager, Angela Sprunger, Sarah Grabner, Becky Chmeilewski, Quinn Hunter, Nisiqi, Emma Reasoner, and Eric Zohn.
How To Apply:
Please fill out the form and submit by Monday, December 11, 2017, by 5pm. Artists (artist groups) may submit up to three works for consideration.
