Description Of Opportunity:
In 2015, the Studio : Ilka Theurich started as an independent project space in Hannover with the goal to explore and promote performance art and performative strategies. The studio endeavours to serve national and international artists in transit as a laboratory for experimentation, as a platform and a temporary home.
Over the next three years, numerous series of events are planned to expand the exchange between performance art, business and society. The focus is on the performative, ephemeral visual artistic work which critically questions the limits of the body, time, gender and public space.
The Studio: Ilka Theurich has set itself the task of establishing Hannover as an important point of contact within the international performance art network.
Studio : Ilka Theurich is an art studio where Ilka Theurich works regularly with different materials. It is not a black box theatre. It is more a white cube, but not a clean white cube.
2018 – Funded by the Studio and Project Space Fund of the City of Hannover, the STIFTUNG Sparda-Bank Hannover and the Dr Christiane Hackenrodt Arts and Culture Foundation.
Offer:
- a 50 square meter (538 square feet) art studio, with white walls and a glass roof
- marketing/press and public relations
- photo documentation
- accommodation (one till two nights)
- catering (breakfast and a warm meal)
