Dirty Debut

Dirty debut  # 3 Snickers
Deadline: Oct. 5, 2018
Please Applications To apply@dirtydebuet.de
Performs: Nov 30, 2018

For the third time, Dirty Debut offers four emerging performance artists a platform to show sketches, unfinished projects, or even dirty works in response to a concrete theme or idea. The performances are then followed by a discussion and a feedback session over a shared meal. Each new edition seeks to use different feedback methods, which is published by Eike Wittrock .

The third edition will take place on November 30 th , 2018 at 7 pm in the cafeteria at Sophiensæle .

The topic for Dirty Debut # 3 is Snickers .

Would you like to make a Dirty debut # 3? Then send a short project proposal to the topic Snickers in German or English (max 2000 characters) and your resume! Performing Arts Scene and envision a future working here. We, therefore, consider proposals for the further development of a thesis project; proposals made by students will, however, unfortunately not be accepted. For that reason, we ask you to send a certificate of exmatriculation as proof that you are no longer studying. For the development of a 20-minute performance, you will receive 2000 € (including any potential expenses for travel and accommodation), as well as an extra 150 € for materials and tech.

Björn Pätz, Sandra Umathum, Joshua Wicke and Sophiensæle: Alexander Kirchner – wants to make four decisions that they consider as distinct and promising in their artistic approach. We want to post the reasons for our selection on the Sophiensæle website and www.dirtydebuet.de , so we will post recordings of the performances and reports by our two authors.

Dirty Debut does not focus solely on the “Radar of most houses and their visitors”. It also highlights the wide range of the whole performance scene: the so-called performance theater; performances in the tradition of body art; and exchange between performance and dance or visual art. Dirty debut is a gathering place for a variety of approaches, formats, and forms of expression and brings them together on one stage.

We look forward to your submissions!
Please send them to apply@dirtydebuet.de
