Description Of Opportunity:

LUGAR FUTURO festival in its 4th edition, aims to promote young dance creators and performers and to be a platform for the première of “new works”, as well as for the presentation of “first works” by dance students or young choreographers, promoting the discovery of new dance artists.

The four days program, with artistic direction by Leonor Keil, will consist on the presentation of shows, films, master classes and conferences, in a perspective of exchange of experiences between the invited creators, dancers, schools, students, teachers, in an effective sharing with local audiences and also worldwide in live streaming transmission.

One of the highlights of this festival is the presentation of a selected set of First Works by young portuguese and foreign choreographers, which promises to surprise by the diversity “and freshness” of the proposals that will include in this edition the absolute première of a new work by Chen Nadler, the winner of the audience prize in 2022. For this edition, the program has also confirmed the participation of Escola Superior de Dança (Lisbon), the BalleTeatro dance school (Porto) and a foreign school to be announced.

The Lugar Futuro festival in 2024 presents itself as a vibrant showcase for young artists and for renowned choreographers, aiming to be a space of permanent discovery for contemporary dance audiences.
