Summary:
Up to 50 participants are directed and synchronized via wireless intercom, moving from one place to the other in Manhattan. The guides and directors of the performance are Christian Kuntner and Astride Schlaefli, two performing artists from Switzerland.
Through direct control of the actions, we influence the flow of normality, deflect it, bring it to a standstill, or speed it up. Our intervention is subtle; it gives the place a slight temporary stir that can be mysterious, eerie, or funny.
REMOTE CITIZEN uses controlled intervention in crowded places to intensify, break, or reduce to absurdity any predominant dynamics. In this way, reality and staging seamlessly blend into each other. Following the successful previous 30 performances in 6 countries ( Buenos Aires, Marseille, Istanbul, Munich, Yerevan, Zurich, Lucerne, Bern, Geneva…), the event is going to happen for the first time in the US!

Due to technical limitation, we can’t handle more than 60 participants on a first come first serve basis… don’t hesitate !
Please: everybody interested in playing the game should be aware of the timetable. Please do not block other people with a “maybe”-registration.
Once you have signed in, you will receive more detailed information via e-mail.
Workflow:
