◊ MPA-B 2014 | MAY 4 ROUND-UP ◊

Another brave new day in the world of MPA-B 2014. Here is today’s programme.

13:00-16:30 + 18:00 concert (MPA-HUB + Culture Container)
Continuing from the TRANSLINGUALITY/TRANSNATIONALITY series curated by Dovrat Meron, today starting at 13:00 at the MPA-HUB at the DingDongDom, a host of artists, curators and cultural policy makers will talk about performance as labour and the working conditions for transnational performance/ing artists, writers and poets. The discussion will happen in the form of a brunch provided by Nowhere Kitchen a successful model of micro economy merging performance, discussions and lectures with vegetarian meals at performative prices. Later in the day at 18:00 at the nearby Culture Container there will be a concert by Tamar Linder “The couch surfer from Tel Aviv” in Hebrew and English.

17:00-21:00 (MPA-HUB)
Following on the brunch, curator Teena Lange presents MIXED MEDIA ON PAPER in which four artists will perform simultaneously on four paper platforms within the characteristic ambiance of the MPA-HUB with Dolanbay, Fran Homeyer, Katrina Brown and Jaanika Peerna.

19:00 (Collegium Hungaricum)
More paper works today with the beginning of the Sunday performance series WORKS ON PAPER II: PANDAMONIUM curated by Rachel Rits-Volloch. The series inverts classic assumptions of paper as a medium, inviting performance artists to approach paper not as a static blank canvas, but as a dynamic source of conceptual and performative possibility.
Today Jia Jia presents Untitled. Free entrance.
