What Contemporary Performance Network has made fo me? For us.

Following a suggestion from a friend, also a performance artist, Fernando Ribeiro, I reached CPN almost 2 years ago now. It was amazing to discover how remarkably well the work has been done to create a real performance social network. I presently use my blog in CPN as my main international information field. I’ve been so welcomed in it, that they even turned me into Regional Editor, a very honoured function, a task which I regret to do not perform as well as I would like or even am I supposed to do.

But most of all, the Network helped other artists of my country – a vast land with various kinds of natural performativity as well as hundreds of young and old performance artists – to discover itself in terms of a true performance scene. This is something unvaluable and I can say that CPN had an important role in it.

Now that brazilians and Brazilian Art – specially performance art – turned to attract more and more international interest, we may say that this is one of the side effects of an effort like Contemporary Performance Network.

All the best
