Each semester, the program produces student workshop productions, guest lectures, guest residencies, a reading series featuring new works from student playwrights, and one annual musical in the Spring. The Production Manager/Lighting Supervisor reports to and assists the Director of Production ensuring each project is produced in a timely and fiscally responsible manner with consideration to artistic quality. The position works with their counterpart to manage day-to-day production department operations, as well as tracking/maintaining equipment, crews, calendars, and logistics.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Function independently on projects/shows as assigned by Director of ProductionAttend production meetings, first rehearsals, tech rehearsals, and some dress rehearsals. Lead show-specific production meetings and post tech/dress notes sessions. Clearly and effectively communicate with all department heads regarding all aspects of production and operations. Oversee electrics crews, and lead the crews in hanging, cabling, and circuiting all light plots for department season. Maintain all lighting equipment. Oversee install of audio/projection equipment per show basis. Oversee and maintain all inventory check-outs of department computers, Stage Management supplies, audio, and video equipment. Track tech credit for all theater students. Coordinate and oversee all run crews for each production. Approve Tech Credit shifts.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Preferred minimum of 3-5 years of production experience.Responsible and organized, while maintaining the ability to multi-task. Ability to work collaboratively and strategically with faculty, staff, and students. Be able to work with a wide range of personalities (i.e. students, faculty, professional performing artists, in-house production support, stagehands, and external production crews). Self-starting, interested in thinking ahead and about how systems can be improved, and able to work independently.Experience with lighting equipment and systems. Preferred knowledge of ETC Theatrical Lighting Systems, ETC Unison system, video projection
