Description Of Opportunity:
Welcome to our performance art Open Call “MindAIness” – the performative practice of mindful consideration of AI in our society. We want to explore the intersections of art, technology, and ethics, including feminist and gender perspectives.
As artists and audiences, we have the opportunity to explore the human experience of AI through art performance works. We recognize that AI is not neutral anymore and reflects our society’s biases and power dynamics. Therefore, we challenge the use of our creativity and imagination to highlight the potential benefits and drawbacks of AI and to spark conversations about the ethical considerations surrounding AI development and use in our society.
Through the performances, we want to inspire a sense of “MindAIness” in the audiences. We encourage everybody to take a step back and reflect on the implications of AI in their own life, and to consider the ways in which they can contribute to a more equal and inclusive approach through AI.
Performances will explore a range of themes related to “MindAIness” from different social perspectives including feminist and gender perspectives, such as:
- The relationship between AI and human emotions and experiences
- The impact of AI on society and the environment
- The potential risks and benefits of AI in various contexts
- The impact of AI on society and the environment, and the ways in which gendered power dynamics play out in those impacts
- The potential risks and benefits of AI in various contexts, and the ways in which gender biases and assumptions can shape those outcomes
- The relationship between AI and the experiences and rights of marginalized communities, including women, people of colour, and LGBTQ+ individuals
- and many more…
We hope that our performances will inspire you to think critically about the role of AI in our world from different perspectives and to consider the ways in which we can shape the future of AI to align with our values and ethical principles.
Thank you for joining us in this exploration of MindAIness, and we hope that you will enjoy the performances!

MindAIness is a portmanteau word, meaning that it is a combination of two existing words, in this case “mindfulness” and “AI”.
“Mindfulness” is a term that refers to the practice of being present and aware at the moment, without judgment.
“AI”, on the other hand, stands for “Artificial Intelligence”. AI refers to the development of computer systems that can perform tasks that would typically require human intelligence, such as learning, reasoning, and problem-solving.
By combining “mindfulness” and “AI” into “MindAIness”, we create a new term that reflects the idea of approaching AI with a mindful, thoughtful, and ethical perspective. It encourages us to consider the implications of AI in our society and to approach its development and use in a responsible and conscious way.
“MindAIness” represents a thoughtful and considered approach to AI, one that recognizes the potential benefits and risks and seeks to promote ethical and equitable outcomes for all.
